What is a Hernia?
A hernia occurs when an internal part of the body, such as an organ or tissue, pushes through a weak spot or tear in the muscle or surrounding tissue that normally holds it in place.
It often appears as a lump or bulge, which may be more noticeable when standing, coughing, or straining.
Hernias are most common in the abdomen or groin and can cause discomfort, pain, or a heavy sensation.
While some hernias may not cause immediate problems, they don’t heal on their own and often require medical attention, especially if they become painful or cause other symptoms.
