DR BEN GREEN
Dr Ben Green is a Specialist Breast and Endocrine Surgeon providing comprehensive care for patients with breast cancer, benign breast disease, and thyroid and parathyroid conditions.
Consulting from Brisbane Breast and Surgical Care in Fortitude Valley, Dr Green delivers modern, evidence-based surgery within a purpose-built multidisciplinary centre. Working alongside radiologists, breast physicians and specialist clinicians, he provides an integrated model of care that allows many patients to undergo imaging, receive results and consult with a specialist surgeon on the same day.
Dr Green has particular expertise in contemporary breast cancer surgery, including breast-conserving techniques, oncoplastic breast surgery, sentinel lymph node biopsy and targeted axillary surgery. He also provides specialist endocrine surgery for thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, hyperparathyroidism and parathyroid disease, using minimally invasive techniques wherever appropriate.

Training & Background
From Tasmania to specialist practice
Dr Green grew up in Tasmania and completed his medical degree at the University of Tasmania.
Following graduation, he undertook junior medical training in Canberra before moving to Sydney and Brisbane to complete advanced training in General Surgery and subspecialty fellowship training in Breast Surgery.
This broad training pathway has shaped his strong grounding in both breast and endocrine surgery and underpins his balanced, evidence-based approach to patient care.

2013 — Specialist Practice
Dr Green commenced practice as a Specialist Breast and Endocrine Surgeon in 2013, initially working at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
2020 — Private Practice
In 2020, he transitioned to private practice, joining Specialist Services at St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital, where he continues to provide specialist surgical care.
